The ultimate goal of insurance is to recover the business by promptly facilitating the payment from underwriters in case of an unexpected accident, and to ensure the continuity of the business. This is where UIB Korea's claim service principle starts.
Why You Need a Broker
Since the paying entity of the claim in the event of an incident is the direct insurer that issued the policy and the reinsurers that share the risks together, the role of a broker is critical to facilitate the payment from underwriters quickly. An appropriate broker should understand the process between direct insurers, reinsurers, and loss adjusters and respond in a timely manner.
Claim Handling Process
If there is insufficient review and preparation for a possible event, it may be difficult to receive claims due to the failure of effective response. UIB Korea has established and operates the following claim process to facilitate the payment of adequate claims swiftly.
- 01The in-house claim team will conduct claim service immediately according to the agreed Claim Process Protocol.
- 02Conduct a preliminary review of the investigation report for appropriate claim. Closely follow up on the claim process ensuring acceptable amount of claim payment.
- 03Verify to secure the adequacy of claim. Shorten the payment period by continuing follow-up on the progress until the claim is settled.
